Approval of an agreement with the Downtown Pomona Owners Association for supplemental police patrols in the Downtown Business Improvement District and Amending the Police Departments Fiscal Year 2019-20 General Fund Operating Revenue Estimate
It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:
1) Adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION NO. 2019-81 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A ONE-YEAR AGREEMENT WITH THE DOWNTOWN POMONA OWNERS’ ASSOCIATION (DPOA) BEGINNING JULY 1, 2019 FOR SUPPLEMENTAL POLICE PATROL SERVICES IN THE AMOUNT OF $160,000 FOR THE POMONA BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT (PBID) WITH A ONE-YEAR EXTENSION OPTION AND AMENDING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT’S FISCAL YEAR 2019-20 OPERATING REVENUE ESTIMATE; and
2) Amend the Police Department’s FY 2019-20 DPOA budget to increase the revenue estimate by an additional $16,000 (Acct.# 101-2008-40621-00000); and
3) Authorize the City Manager, or designee, to execute the Agreement on behalf of the City, in substantially the form submitted, subject to review and approval by the City Attorney.
