Amendment of the 2019-20 Capital Improvement Program Budget and the “Annual Water Main Replacements”, Project No. 595-8125-XXXXX-95022 and the Street Preservation - Local Citywide (FY 18-19)” Project No. 428-2590-XXXXX-68560 and Approve a Construction Contract Change Order with Gentry Brothers Inc. in the Amount of $236,490 for a Pipeline Replacement and Various Pavement Repairs
It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:
1) Determine that approval of the pipeline and paving project within Mission Boulevard and Meserve Street is exempt from environmental review pursuant to Section 15301 and 15282 of the state’s guidelines implementing the California Environmental Quality Act;
2) Adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION 2019-160 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, AMENDING THE 2019-20 CIP BUDGET BY RE-APPROPRIATING $132,800 OF WATER FUNDS FROM THE “ANNUAL WATER MAIN REPLACEMENTS”, PROJECT NO. 595-8125-XXXXX-95022 AND APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL $103,690 OF AVAILABLE WATER FUNDS FOR A TOTAL OF $236,490 TO THE “STREET PRESERVATION LOCAL - CITYWIDE (FY 18-19)”, PROJECT NO. 428-2590-XXXXX-68560; and
3) Approve the issuance of a construction change order increasing the Gentry Brothers, Inc. construction contract by $236,490, plus a 15 percent contingency change order capacity on that amount, for the water utility pipeline replacement and pavement repair, bringing the contract total, less any contingency, to $4,356,834.
