Final Design Plan to allow the installation of a mural located on the west elevation of a commercial structure. The subject site is located in the Mixed-Use Central Business District of the Downtown Pomona Specific Plan located at 280 W Second Street (APN: 8341-004-039). Pursuant to the provisions of the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA Public Resources Code, Section 21084 et. seq.), this project meets the requirements for a Categorical Exemption in compliance with Article 19, Section 15301, (Class 1 - Existing Facilities).
Recommendation:
Staff recommends the Cultural Arts Commission (CAC) adopt the attached resolution approving a Final Design Plan for the installation of a mural located on the west elevation of a commercial structure located at 280 West Second Street in the amount of $50,000.00 and further recommends that the city execute an agreement with the qualified non-profit organization, dA Center for the Artists, working in conjunction with the executing artists, East Los Streetscapers.
