Acceptance and Appropriation of $200,000 in State Strategic Growth Council, Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Program Grant Funds to Develop Strategies to Reduce Carbon Emissions, Improve Air Quality, and Build Resiliency in the Face of a Changing Climate, with a Focus on Low-Income and Disadvantaged Communities
It is recommended that the City Council take the following actions:
1) Adopt the following resolution:
RESOLUTION NO. 2021-61 - A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF POMONA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF $200,000 IN PLANNING GRANT FUNDS FROM THE TRANSFORMATIVE CLIMATE COMMUNITIES (TCC) PROGRAM AND STATE OF CALIFORNIA STRATEGIC GROWTH COUNCIL TO COMMENCE COLLABORATIVE PLANNING ACTIVITIES IN PREPARATION FOR SEEKING FUTURE TCC IMPLEMENTATION FUNDING AND AMEND THE FY 2020-21 OPERATING BUDGET BY INCREASING REVENUE ESTIMATES AND APPROPRIATING $10,000
2) Authorize the City Manager to execute all agreements and any other documentation requested for acceptance of the award, distribution of the funding and operation of the subsequent agreements, subject to approval as to form by the City Attorney.
